This Tanzanite is very rich in color. The cut on the stone perfectly showcases the beautiful color and clarity that quality Tanzanite’s are known for.
The only known deposit of tanzanite is a five square mile hilltop at Merelani Hills near Ausha, ten miles south of the Kilimanjaro International Airport in Tanzania. Since the stone is found in only one special location in the entire world, it is especially rare. Daylight will cause this gem to show blue and incandescent light will bring out the violet color. Tanzanite is now considered one of December's Birthstones.
Care and handling: Tanzanite is 6.5 on hardness scale. Gentle wear; avoid ultrasonics and extreme changes in temperature. This ring should be cleaned with mild soapy water.
This setting complements the rich color of this Tanzanite beautifully. The Black Spinels accompanied with this Tanzanite add depth to this ring, even more the substantial under gallery of this setting make this a very comfortable ring to wear.
